 Lowering your risk of heart disease requires a comprehensive approach

  • Stop Smoking
  • Reduce consumption of animal meats and products.
  • Reduce alcohol, which depletes the body of B vitamins, zinc and magnesium.
  •   Eliminate sugar.
  • Eat at least 6 to 8 helpings of fruit and vegetables per day.
  • Increase fiber in diet to eliminate excess cholesterol from diet.
  • Reduce Caffeine to lower homocysteine and CRP.
  • Eliminate Soft Drinks – even if they are low in calories.
  • Eliminate any foods that are high in Saturated foods, particularly deep-fried food.
  • Increase consumption of Omega 3's found in Olive oil, oily fish, avocado, etc…
  • Reduce stress by exercising.
  • If you have diabetes, keep it under tight control.
  • Get your blood pressure checked regularly, and keep it below 140/80.

  • A good multi-mineral or multi-vitamin if you are over 50.
  • Vitamin E to improve circulation.
  • Magnesium for Blood Pressure and Stress reduction.
  • B vitamins.
  • Coenzyme Q10 –aids heart function. Necessary with cholesterol lowering medication.
  • Fish oils for good circulation.
